Saying I do, is my promise to continue this path with you.
You came into my world unexpectedly when I wasn’t looking
and at first I doubted, questioned and didn’t trust but quickly came to think of you as inevitable. Many have said that is not romantic,
but to me it is. I knew you would be a part of my life and I had
no choice but to follow this path wherever it would lead and
whatever it meant, for me it means we will be together to the end.
I remember a moment we were walking in my neighborhood only
a few months in and a teen asked how long we had been together thinking it was years and we responded not long, and he looked surprised and said damn you look you’ve been together forever.
I can’t imagine my life without you, you are my best friend, my
most ardent supporter and defender, my rock and my prince. I
promise to try always to remember those moments that brought
me here and to honor the love you give me so unconditionally.
